Rocky View School District live on LibLime Koha
Bethesda, MD – November 29, 2011 – LibLime, a Division of PTFS, announces that the Rocky View School District has successfully migrated to LibLime Koha.
The Rocky View School District worked with LibLime’s project management staff on data migration, system configuration, and training. LibLime also provided Rocky View with data conversion services by generating MARC records for thousands of descriptive records that were in non-MARC format. In addition, data was migrated for three libraries out of Follett and into LibLime Koha. Now that Rocky View School District is live on LibLime Koha, they will enjoy the benefits of LibLime’s support and hosting in our distributed computing cloud platform.
Chris Gartner, RVS Library Coordinator explains, “When Rocky View Schools (the fifth largest and fastest growing school division in Alberta, Canada) went looking for an ILS to replace its current system, they selected LibLime Koha. As of October 21, 2011 three RVS schools are piloting LibLime Koha giving its stakeholders 24/7 access to library collections and up to date digital resources supporting all learners’ needs. Students and staff can now expand their learning environment outside the school walls and enter into the global learning arena.”
