National Museum of Women in the Arts goes live on LibLime Koha 4.10
Bethesda, MD, April 11, 2012 The National Museum of Women in the Arts is live on LibLime Koha 4.10.
The National Museum of Women in the Arts is enjoying the flexibility and innovation for which LibLime Koha is known. They are impressed with LibLime’s service and the quality of their professional staff. The Museum was able to migrate from their legacy Voyager system to LibLime Koha in just under four months, using LibLime’s efficient, streamlined, implementation processes.
Heather Slania, Director of the Library and Research Center, National Museum of Women in the Arts, says “The LibLime Koha implementation at the National Museum of Women in the Arts went as smooth as can be thanks to PTFS staff. When we had a hiccup in extracting our data from our end, they were helpful with finding solutions to our problems. Mary and Maria answered every question I posed to them in using our new system. I am very happy with how the process went.”
About the National Museum of Women in the Arts
The National Museum of Women in the Arts is the only museum in the world dedicated exclusively to recognizing the contributions of women artists. Located on New York Avenue, in Washington, DC, the museum is a vibrant member of the DC arts and entertainment community. The Library and Research Center aims to educate and inform the public about the contributions of women to the visual arts by sharing its resources with library users and visitors. The Library and Research Center's resources include a substantial collection of research books, exhibition catalogues, periodicals, multi-media resources; and artists' books, along with the Archives on Women Artists and a number of special collections, including artists' papers. The Library and Research Center is responsible for recognizing three awards each year – the Mellor Book Prize, the Library Fellow’s Award, and the Dettre Archival Internship.
